Drago's is a restaurant I like out in Fat City (not particularly near downtown). http://zydecocruiser.net/ncl_sun_2006/NewOrleans/dragos.htm They have now opened a second restaurant at the Riverside Hilton which I intend to try. Stay tuned...
Mandina's in New Orleans has reopened and that is another one on my list. I haven't been to Mr. B's since it reopened. Tommy's Cuisine. And on and on. Too many restaurants and too little time. Sigh.
