If you happen to be in the area and aren't going on a cruise, you may be lost! Perhaps hungry? If so, Jack Dempsey's restaurant on Poland is popular with locals. One of the last great neighborhood restaurants. It gets pretty much a 0 for atmosphere but has some righteous mac and cheese and overserved fried seafood platters. Friday nights are probably still fried catfish nights. Limited hours since re-opening. Cash only but might someday take credit cards again - who knows? Need to stop - I'm making myself hungry.

Here are a couple of pictures from the general area. Not sure exactly where cruise ships will dock, but there is room for 5 ships.

Note: Pictures are from July, 2006 - I assume some temporary improvements have/will be made before Princess arrives in Dec 2006.
