Even is the worst weather, some of the balcony remained dry - the weather protection is superior to that of the other balconies. I really don't think they needed to seal them, but it did give them some practice.

a small downside to the Coves is you can get some noise from the kitchen upstairs, if you are directly beneath some parts, but it wouldn't stop us.
on the other hand, if you are lucky enough to have dolphins swim alongside the ship, the view you get of them is beyond description. just amazing.
