Soller & Train Ride

Soller & Train Ride

One of the best ways to experience some of Mallorca's dramatic scenery is this half day train ride across the island that allows you to sample the rugged interior.

On this educational excursion you will:

  • Depart from the port of Palma and head straight to Sóller, approximately one hour away by motor coach.
  • Discover Sóller, a quiet and picturesque town, nestled in the mountains, with a rugged northern coast.
  • Upon arrival, you will have a guided walk around this charming village, then be transferred to Puerto de Soller for some free time for shopping.
  • Then, board the Tren de Sóller, an old fashioned electric train that has preserved its traditional character for almost one hundred years.
  • Enjoy a memorable one-hour train ride back to Son Reus that will take you across to the north-west portion of the island, passing by almond and locust-bean trees, groves of olive trees, lush villages and pine covered mountains.
  • Once at Son Rues, you will be transported back to the port of Palma via motor coach.

NOTE: Comfortable walking shoes are recommended; there are some cobblestone streets in Sóller. Headphones will be provided.
